I relocated to the area six years ago. The environment and kind residents are what initially drew me to Twain Harte. We acquired the Twain Harte Creamery two and a half years ago. I opted to join the board with the goal of assisting local businesses in Twain Harte to increase sales and attract more visitors to the area. I appreciate the sense of community cohesion.

I think it's so important to support all our local businesses! I came to the Chamber as a volunteer, using my background as a volunteer coordinator and volunteer for many animal-related organizations over the past 20+ years. Prior to my appointment to the board as a Director in 2025 I played a lead volunteer role in our Dog Parade, 4th of July Parade, Wine Walk and Oktoberfest events along with my fellow Chamber Directors and volunteers. It's hard to pick just one favorite thing about Twain Harte so I'll just say the people and our place!

I moved to the Twain Harte area full-time in 1993 to raise my daughter and be closer to family, and I’ve loved calling these mountains home ever since. One of my favorite things about living here is experiencing all four seasons and the small-town spirit that comes with it, where local businesses know your name and neighbors show up when you need a hand.

The Chamber has always made me feel genuinely welcome at meetings. That warmth drew me in, and before long I was volunteering at events, building friendships, and finding meaningful ways to support the community we all care about.

My husband and I bought a cabin in Long Barn 4 years ago, and quickly fell in love with Twain Harte, which prompted us to move here full time. Prior to that, we were business owners in Los Gatos. It’s important for us to volunteer and give back to our community. Joining the Chamber 2 years ago, was a great way to give back and support our local businesses. We also volunteer at the Adventist Health Hospital in Sonora, which we love! The community in Twain Harte are welcoming, inclusive and truly care about this lovely town!
