Help Us “Embrace the Local” all year long 💛

The Twain Harte Area Chamber of Commerce is funded by membership dues, sponsorships, and donations. When you give to the Chamber, you’re not funding a big bureaucracy or salaries – you’re investing directly in the communities along the Highway 108 corridor, from Soulsbyville to Strawberry and beyond.

Every dollar we receive goes back into our towns to:

  • Promote local businesses with campaigns, spotlights, and referrals

  • Produce community events that bring neighbors and visitors together

  • Improve our communities with projects that build local pride and keep opportunity close to home

We are a volunteer-powered Chamber. There are no paid staff positions, which means your support goes straight into the work: more visibility for local businesses, more reasons for people to visit, and more momentum for our mountain communities.

VERY Important Note: We use Givebutter as our online payment processor. Givebutter is a boon to non-profits like ours as it allows us to conduct online transactions without passing along credit card and other payment processing fees to you… so, you pay the price of membership, and ONLY the price of membership. However, instead of charging us (or you), Givebutter asks for an optional processing fee and an optional tip that gets added to the transaction at checkout. The processing fee and tip are completely optional, but they are set to default non-zero amounts that the Chamber cannot change. You decide what you want to do… you can edit the processing fee and/or the optional tip amount before final checkout. Whichever choice you make, PLEASE make sure to check the final transaction amount in the summary on the right side of the checkout window before you proceed so you’re not surprised when you get your credit card statement. We cannot refund processing fees or tips, and all transactions are final.

Regular donations to the Chamber are generally not tax-deductible as charitable contributions. However, membership dues and sponsorships paid by businesses may be deductible as ordinary and necessary business expenses to the extent allowed by law and not allocated to lobbying or political activities.
